Public Health England recently published an article calling on parents to cut sugary drinks from children’s diet. A shocking 20% of children in the UK are now obese and the heavy consumption of sugary drinks is a factor in this problem. As a country the UK is consuming far too much sugar. This is leading to major health consequences such as tooth decay in children and diabetes in adults. Our sugar intake should only be 5% of our calorie intake. Currently we tend to consume more than double this amount.

With a wide variety of sugary drinks now readily available on the market more and more consumers are reaching for this rather than healthier alternatives such as water. Sugary drinks must be minimised in order to tackle this obesity crisis across the UK. The easiest way to tackle this is to move to drinking more water. Water is so important for our bodies and increasing our water intake promotes weight loss.

Increase your water intake today with The Well Water.
