As the temperatures soar over the summer months we must remember to keep ourselves properly hydrated. Temperatures in the UK are currently remaining high, particularly at night. These high temperatures can be dangerous if we do not keep ourselves properly hydrated. In particular the elderly and the young can be vulnerable in these high temperatures.
The easiest way to protect ourselves from this increasingly warm weather is to stay properly hydrated. Our bodies are made up of nearly 70% water and so in the summer months when it is warm it is particularly important to ensure that we replenish this water by increasing the amount of water that we drink. Not drinking enough water can lead to dehydration which can cause headaches, nausea, confusion and also dizziness. Avoid this at all costs by staying well hydrated.
